We have just returned from a lovely week’s holiday in Halkidiki, Greece where we were able to relax for the week ‘all inclusive’ style!
We did manage to get in a couple of training run’s whilst away, which is great as we have our first race next Sunday (Bath two tunnels 5k). We also did a lot of swimming, played some Tennis (my arm still hurts) and used the hotel gym, which was exciting for me as I don’t currently go to a gym and it was a good way of testing out the equipment to see if i’d like to join one.
Now that we have returned to cold and wet Wales, we decided it was time to sign up for our first 10K as motivation to get back into the running grove. We have decided on the Caerphilly 10k which takes place on the 21st June 2015. The website describes the course as mainly flat with some ‘undulating’ points, so hopefully we can get through those hilly bits and get a good time, so that we can submit it as a corral placement time for the WDW Wine and Dine half marathon in November.
Tomorrow will mark our first run since returning from holiday… i’ll let you know how it goes in our weekly training recap tomorrow evening.
Have a great bank holiday weekend everyone 🙂
