Hello everyone and welcome to another edition of WDW Top Tip Tuesday! Today’s top tip is: Book ADR’s in advance for must do dining!
Many people perceive Walt Disney World’s dining options as being nothing but your typical theme park food – burgers, fries and chicken nuggets! In reality nothing could be further from the truth, as Walt Disney World has numerous dining options to suit every taste and budget.
Dining options are typically split into two: Quick Service options and Table Service options.
For a quick service meal, you order your food at a counter. No reservation is required. Quick service locations are numerous in every park and the resorts, as well as in Downtown Disney and there really is something for everyone – from flatbreads or hotdogs in the Magic Kingdom, to Moroccan and Japanese in EPCOT.
A table service meal differs from the quick service option in that it is your typical restaurant experience – a sit down dinner where you are waited on at your table. Options for table service meals are also numerous in the parks but it is our TOP TIP to book any of your must do table service options in advance either by telephone or online (details can be found on the WDW Website).
ADR’s (advanced dining reservations) for table service dining can be booked up to 180 days in advance (only 5 more days to go for us until we can book ours!) We recommend browsing the options available on the Walt Disney World website where you can view menu’s for all restaurants in the WDW, choose your must-do’s and then make those ADR’s as soon as possible for your upcoming trip.
There is a possibility that you will be able to walk up to a restaurant on the day and get seated, but there is no guarantee unless you have an advanced dining reservation, and during busy times walk up’s are not accepted in a lot of table service locations. So make sure you follow our top tip – browse the website, identify your must-do’s and make those ADR’s as soon as possible to guarantee you get to experience that bit of Disney magic!
The following restaurants tend to book up fast so we would definitely recommend making ADR’s as soon as the 180 day window opens for these restaurants if you do want to experience them on your next disney trip:
Be Our Guest Restaurant – MK
Ohana’s – Polynesian Village Resort
Cinderella’s Royal Table – MK
Le Cellier – EPCOT
The California Grill – Contemporary Resort
That’s it for another Top Tip Tuesday! See you next week!
